Okay. So I started noticing on Instagram stories, that a lot of the “builder” accounts that I follow were constantly playing around with Mood Boards. It’s very helpful in the design process and a way to show others what their ideas were. It was also a way to gather opinions on a choice they were uncertain about. Basically it’s an idea for a room that you have. You create these mood boards by using apps or resources that you have on your iPad, like keynote. You save pictures that you like of items to your camera roll and then you add them to keynote and arrange them to create a mood board. There are tutorials on YouTube that will go into depth on how to do this. Since it’s the weekend and my 3 kids are happily occupied, I figured I would give it a go! This took me about an hour to figure out the basic idea. Here is my first attempt on what’s been brewing in my head for our dining room. I can see why those savvy Instagram accounts are doing this. Who wouldn’t have an excellent idea of what they want in their finished build. After all, playing around and seeing your board will help you grow and improve your design. Happy creating!
I love how you can show the detail on the back of the chair. Just be warned...this is very addicting!
This is why I find Mood Boards very helpful. Look at how one bench changes the dining room.
Now that warmer weather is here, I’ll start playing around with conversation ideas for our wrap around porch!
